Welcome to Quran Lantern. These Terms and Conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of Quran Lantern’s Website and Educational Services.

By accessing this website and enrolling in our classes, we assume you accept these terms and conditions. Do not continue to use Quran Lantern if you do not agree to take all of the terms and conditions stated on this page.

1. Definitions

• “The Academy” / “We” / “Us”: Refers to Quran Lantern.

• “The Student” / “You”: Refers to the person enrolled in the course or the parent/guardian if the student is a minor.

• “The Tutor”: Refers to the educator assigned by the academy to teach the student.

2. Registration and Accounts

• To use our services, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process.

• You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials. The Academy is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your password.

3. Services and Payments

• Free Trial: We offer one free trial class per new student to evaluate our service, meet the tutor, and discuss learning goals.

• Subscription: Classes are billed on a monthly basis. Fees must be paid in advance before the start of the billing cycle.

• Currency: All fees are billed in USD unless stated otherwise.

• Automatic Renewal: For your convenience, subscriptions may automatically renew unless you cancel your plan before the renewal date.

4. Class Scheduling & Attendance (Important)

To ensure a disciplined learning environment and respect everyone’s time, the following policies apply:

• Student Cancellation & Rescheduling:

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule a class, you must notify us at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time.

  • If notice is given at least 30 minutes in advance, a make-up class will be scheduled at no extra cost.

  • If notice is given less than 30 minutes before the class (or in case of a “No-Show”), the class will be considered “Paid & Taken,” and no make-up class or refund will be offered for that session.

• Tutor Absence & Lateness:

  • Tutor Absence: If the tutor is absent or cancels the class for any reason, the Academy is obligated to provide a full make-up class at your convenience.

  • Tutor Lateness: If the tutor starts the class late, they are obligated to compensate for the missed minutes (either by extending the session or adding the time to future classes).

• Waiting Time: Tutors will wait for 15 minutes for the student. If the student does not join within this time, it is considered a “No-Show.”

5. Refund Policy

We want to ensure you are confident in your investment with us.

• Money-Back Guarantee: You are eligible for a Full Refund of your monthly subscription if you decide to cancel after completing the first 2 classes only.

• Non-Refundable: If you choose to continue after the first two classes, the monthly fee becomes non-refundable for that billing cycle.

• Unused Classes: We generally do not offer refunds for missed classes or unused credits unless the error is from our side (as stated in the Tutor Absence policy).

6. Code of Conduct

We are an Islamic educational platform, and we expect all parties to adhere to respectful behavior:

• Dress Code: Students and tutors are expected to dress modestly during video sessions.

• Environment: Students should join the class from a quiet environment suitable for learning Quran.

• Respect: Any form of harassment, abusive language, or inappropriate behavior towards tutors will result in immediate termination of the account without refund.

7. Child Safety

For students under the age of 12, we strongly recommend that a parent or guardian be present or nearby during the online sessions to ensure the child is engaged and safe.

8. Intellectual Property

All educational materials, logos, and content provided by Quran Lantern are the intellectual property of the Academy. You may not reproduce, distribute, or sell these materials without our written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

Quran Lantern is not liable for any technical issues, internet failures, or interruptions that occur on the student’s end. We will, however, do our best to accommodate technical difficulties if they are from our side.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
