General
Quran Lantern strives to ensure that its services are accessible to people with disabilities. We hold the strong belief that every person has the right to live with dignity, equality, comfort, and independence, and that the learning of the Holy Quran should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their ability.
We have invested significant resources to help ensure that our website is made easier to use and more accessible for people with disabilities, with the strong belief that website accessibility efforts assist all users.
Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
Quran Lantern is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content may not fully conform to the accessibility standard yet, but we are continuously working to improve them.
Measures We Take
To ensure accessibility, we have taken the following measures:
Text Clarity: We use high-contrast colors to ensure text is readable for users with visual impairments.
Alt Text: We aim to provide “Alternative Text” for images so screen readers can describe them to visually impaired users.
Keyboard Navigation: We are optimizing our site to be navigable via keyboard for those who cannot use a mouse.
Zoom Friendly: Our site is designed to function correctly when zoomed in up to 200%.
